HomeRight...where do I start!?!
I mean from sprayers to heat guns to shelter tents to spray in...oh and paint rollers/edgers, and staining tools and steamers... HomeRight - taking on DIY projects!

I started out with my Finish Max sprayer on a project that I've been wanting & needing to tackle for a while now.

I hate painting chairs... It's just so time consuming.  And, that was the project I needed to tackle.  UGH not my idea of fun.

This is a gossip/telephone chair that I did a couple of years ago.  While at the time I loved (didn't love painting it honestly) the chair.  I had decided it didn't fit with my home any longer.

So I had decided to take it to my booth space to sell.

There it sat even though everyone that walked by loved it.  Always stopping and chatting with me about the chair.  How cute it is!?!  And, stories of gossip/telephone chairs they remember from growing up...

One question that was asked by pretty much every person that stopped to chat with me about the chair.  The postcards!  Oh that's wrapping paper decoupaged :)

Again while it was cute & fun, it didn't seem to fit with anyone's home decor.

This is what it originally looked like (well minus the start of green paint).  I had forgotten to take a before picture, but let's just say the cushion that once sat on this chair was TERRIBLE!  It was a red velvet that was worn down, and I believe the bed of a cat.  It had more cat hair on it than the velvety finish!  I ended up tossing the entire cushion & just cut a new board for the seat.  Plus it smelled so horrible that I wasn't sure if it went to the board.

And, so it never sold.   I was saddened, but knew it was time for a change.

But, as time went on by, it sat in my garage.  Did I mention that painting chairs isn't my favorite thing?

One day my doorbell rang & this sweet thing was waiting for me....

This had set my motivation level in gear.  Chairs I will conquer you!

I grabbed my sander and went to work on removing all of the wrapping paper.

And, then sat my HomeRIght Finish Max sprayer up to give this chair the makeover it deserved.

It wasn't the first time I used it...as you can see the pinkish color on the canister.

This sprayer made my life simpler that day!  It took 2 coats of paint (I did light coats) and all of about 20 minutes each time.  That save me a good hour!!!

Amazing coverage!

Once I sprayed the chair, I used this fabric that I absolutely love and covered the seat, and added it around the shelf part.  I then used sisal as my trim.  I love it!

I don't mind painting chairs so much when I have the sprayer to use!!  Wow what a fun difference!  And, I think I "sprayed it pretty"!!

I have some other toys from HomeRight that I will be using in the coming days that I will be showing you their awesomeness!

I can't wait to see what is linked up this month as last months competition heated up!!

Make sure to stop by Evey of Evey's Creations to check out her HomeRight projects.  Evey works her HomeRight sprayer like a boss on some pretty darn amazing pieces.  I am in love (as is both of my daughters) with the Frozen theme piece she did for her daughters room!!!

Don't forget to venture over to my lovely co-hosts blogs to see what's happening over there...

  3. This turned out so nice. You are right...the postcards were nice but the fabric makes a statement. I love it. I am sad that I missed out on the sprayer. I just might have to purchase one because I hate painting chairs as well.
